Honoring Arvo Pärt: A Mirror Sauna for a Musical Legend
In October, the world gathered at Carnegie Hall, New York City, to celebrate the 90th birthday of Arvo Pärt — Estonia’s most renowned composer and one of the most-performed living artists in the world.
To mark the occasion, we at ÖÖD were deeply honored to contribute something close to our hearts: a Mirror Sauna, offered as part of a charity auction benefiting the Arvo Pärt Foundation.
The event brought together the Estonian Festival Orchestra under the direction of Paavo Järvi, alongside performances by Midori, Hans Christian Aavik, Nico Muhly, and the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir — an unforgettable evening of music, creativity, and cultural pride.
A Reflection of Estonian Design
The ÖÖD Mirror Sauna embodies the same principles that guide Arvo Pärt’s music — clarity, stillness, and depth. Its mirrored façade blends into the landscape, inviting a sense of calm and connection to the world around it.
